After taking on-board a few comments from my last stargate rendering, I have finally found time-out from my exams and subsequent coursework to finally work on something I enjoy. The result is this!. Try not to pay too much attention to the actual gate model itself, as that has not chnaged. Pay more attention to the chevrons and the event horizon. The chevrons, as commented by another member, have now been replaced, or rather enhanced with a newer texture that has the "worn and scratched look"......slightly ............suffice it to say that the Event Horizon has chnaged significantly from the last preview of it here in my gallery and now boasts a more "photo-glowing" look, rather that the matte look it had before. I for one like the new event horizon and must agree that although subtle, the cehvrons are now much better as well. The little things, at least in this instance seem to make a big difference.
Thanks. I cant wait to see. I have never seen, tried to use or bothered with C4D before. I look forward to seeing how different or similar it turns out to be just based on the modeling package. Right....I'm off to find some reviews and screenshots of C4D now to see what its like !

Why thanks. The newer gate model(s) are all polygon detailed. This for the most part uses textures to achieve the look. But thank you for your kind comments. Much appreciated.
